<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a venous detention catheter in which inflow/outflow is ordered and stabilized at all the time by a catheter body inserted and detained in a blood vessel. <P>SOLUTION: The venous detention catheter has a catheter hub 1 and a catheter body 2, and has a distal end hole 4 formed on the distal end of the catheter body 2 and a lateral side hole 5 formed on a peripheral lateral side close to the distal end of the catheter body 2. Besides, two or more lateral side holes 5 are equally formed on the peripheral lateral side near the distal end of the catheter body 2.
