摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for stably supplying water from a high water source to various facilities at lower places by reducing the pressure of the water. <P>SOLUTION: A pressure-reducing water tank is placed in a pipe line, plural level detection mechanisms of level control valves having different functions are arranged in vertical direction in the water tank and the water level in the water tank is detected stepwise to successively actuate the plural level controlling valves and increase the water supply to the pipe line stepwise from a low rate free from water-hammering trouble to the planned rate to suppress the water-hammering of the water supply pipe. In the case of using a one-liquid detection pilot valve in the water level detection mechanism, the apparatus has plural pressure-reducing water tanks provided with plural water level controlling valves having different functions as necessary.
