A system and a method for providing a DRM(Digital Rights Management) license are provided to offer the range of content use in various type without being bounded only to a subject or an object using the license in a DRM environment, and enable different DRM systems to use the same DRM license. A sync system(700) requests a license of contents. A source system(500) generates a first right token including path information, which represents relationship among a plurality of principles, from a DRM license, by receiving the request from the sync system. A right mediator(600) generates a second right token available in the sync system based on the first right token and transmits the second right token to the sync system. The sync system provides the license of contents based on the second right token. The principle includes a subject using the contents and an object playing the contents. The sync system generates a topology for assigning a content playback right based on the second right token and forms a sync system based on the generated topology. |
