The invention relates to a device for rotating a mobile barrier, of the type comprising transmission means consisting of a crankshaft which is intended to drive a rack (4) by means of connecting rods. Said rack acts on an output shaft (6), the barrier being mounted to said shaft. The inventive device is characterised in that it comprises an outer frame (9) consisting of two half-shells (9a, 9b) which house the transmission means therein.
