FLASH MEMORY DEVICE WITH VERIFY DATA BUFFER CAPABLE OF CHANGING APPLICATION AND PROGRAM/VERIFY METHOD USING THEREOF

A flash memory device with a verify data buffer capable of changing application and a program/verify method using the same are provided to increase the number of data capable of being programmed at the same time without an additional program data buffer and an additional verify data buffer. A program data buffer(120) buffers program data to be programmed in a memory cell array. A verify data buffer(140) compares the program data with verify data verifying whether the program data is programmed accurately. The whole or a part of the verify data buffer is used as a program data buffer, in response to a buffer control signal. The flash memory device further comprises a buffer controller generating the buffer control signal.
