PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static mixer which is used as an in-line type complete- mixing mixer and has a simple structure and with which a twisted plate type mixer can be replaced. SOLUTION: This static mixer 10 is constituted so that four semicircular baffle plates 15a, 15b, 15c, 15d are arranged in a cylindrical mixer 13 and fit to the mixer 13 at the mutually shifted angles. A main fluid to be introduced through a main fluid introducing pipeline 11 is mixed sufficiently with an additive fluid to be introduced through an additive fluid introducing pipeline 12 in a short section by the colliding action of these fluids with each of the plates 15a, 15b, 15c, 15d, the widely meandering and course-changing action of the fluids and the whirling action of the fluids caused by big vortexes generated on the downstream side of each of the plates 15a, 15b, 15c, 15d.
