PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of splashing liquid such as water in a water tank upward using gas such as air and a fountain. SOLUTION: In the method for spouting the liquid such as water filled in a vessel (w) such as the water tank using compressed air, a gas phase part (g) is formed around the lower end of a water-spouting pipe P nearly vertically provided to be opened at a position under the liquid surface of the vessel (w) and to be opened at the upper part to the atmosphere in the vessel (w) or a vessel communicating with the vessel (w) and the gas is forcibly charged into the gas phase part (g) to be intermittently and quickly overflown in the spouting pipe P to spout the liquid to a position above the liquid surface of the vessel (w).
