<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanocage formable only by mixing only three kinds of oligonucleotides using little energy and consisting of DNA, a method for producing a DNA nanocage capable of easily and economically constituting DNA nanocage through one-step operation, a nanotube in which the nanocage is connected and fused in a one-dimensional direction, and a molecular carrier capable of reversibly including a plurality of nanoparticles such as a metallic fine particle and a protein in the inner space. <P>SOLUTION: A DNA nanocage consists of three kinds of oligonucleotides having a designed sequence and is formed by self-organizing a double-stranded DNA branched in three directions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
