<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for control of the plate crown and flatness of a rolled stock to a desired value in a continuous rolling machine. <P>SOLUTION: In the control method, among some rolling machines having actuators arranged in tandem for control of each plate crown, a plate crown meter is arranged at the exit side of the intermediate rolling machine, and the actuator of the downstream rolling machine of the plate crown is feedforward-controlled corresponding to the deviation between the found value measured by the plate crown meter and the target value calculated in advance. When the point of the rolled stock has reached the set position of the crown plate meter, the deviation between the found value and the target value is obtained. And the control quantity of the actuator is obtained by multiplying the deviation to the coefficient, which is proportional to the genetic factor of each rolling machine downstream for the plate crown meter and is inversely proportional to the value obtained by multiplying the transfer ratio by the coefficient of effect to the plate crown of the control quantity of the actuator, and the actuator is controlled corresponding to the control quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
