PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous filter press in which a filter medium can be regenerated with respect to an apparatus by which raw water is filtered and concentrated continuously. SOLUTION: A circular filter cylinder (3a) is hung on a drive shaft (4) suspended in the central part of an airtight tank (1). Filtrate tubes (12) suspended in several filtrate chambers (11) formed by dividing the cylinder (3a) by a plurality of partition walls (10) are connected to a rotary valve (19) fixed to the shaft (4). The valve (19) is brought into sliding contact with a fixed valve (13) externally put on the shaft (4). A filtrate discharging tube (20) and a washing water tube (21) arranged on the valve (13) are arranged oppositely on the rotational locus of the tubes (12) connected to the valve (19) so that each of the tubes (20) and (21) can be associated or disassociated freely with the tubes (12). The connection of each of the tubes (12) to the tube (20) or the tube (21) is changed so that each of the chambers (11) can be backwashed, namely, each block of the cylinder (3a) can be backwashed.
