<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, a method of processing an image, a program, and a recording medium capable of efficiently and accurately controlling a gray balance. <P>SOLUTION: In this image processor 20, a pattern sheet 80 having a plurality of patches obtained by varying a quantity of each element color is formed under a condition of constant brightness in each gradation of a plurality of gradations and the pattern sheet is output by an image output device 30. A correction curve is generated based on a varied quantity of each element color in the patch of each gradation which is obtained by receiving the selection from the patch of the pattern sheet 80.
