<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet for receiving a dye heat-transfer image which is easily releasable from an ink ribbon after printing and free from troubles such as the qualitative deterioration of a print image, the discharge failure of the sheet and a sticking phenomenon due to the cutting of an ink ribbon. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet for receiving a dye heat-transfer image comprises a sheet-like support, a dye image receiving layer formed on the surface of the support and an intermediate layer which is formed between the support and the image receiving layer and has a higher glass transition temperature than the image receiving layer does. In addition, the sheet satisfies the relationship of the thickness Ha of the image-receiving layer and the thickness Hb of the intermediate layer in the ratio of Ha/Hb≤0.5. Further, when a solid printing process is performed by superposing the ink ribbon on the surface of the image receiving layer and then, the sheet for receiving a dye heat-transfer image and the ink ribbon are released from each other at 180° and at a releasing speed of 450±50 mm/min., the release force Pa at a release temperature of 100°C and the release force Pb at a release temperature of 40°C are controlled to the ratio of Pa-Pb≤20 N/m, according to necessity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
