<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive walking assist machine for an aged person or a handicapped person at the leg, utilizing their own legs that keeps a seat horizontal without being influenced by a step gradient at the steps of an escalator in such a way that the person utilizing the walking assist machine can ride on an off the escalator safely. <P>SOLUTION: This machine has a structure in which a physical weight of the sitting person is supported while the person sits on a seat of this machine, and the ground is kicked with the person's legs to move this machine forward or rearward. This machine a horizontal state keeping structure in which when the person rides on or off an escalator while sitting on this machine, a contact segment between front legs of this machine and a frame part at the seat slides to keep the seat horizontal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
