PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a small and simple book reading stand which is made suitable for carrying by a flexible idea free from the conventional concepts of the book reading stands. SOLUTION: In the prior art, the lower parts of books are placed on a receiving base provided at a lower part of the book reading stand. In the structure of the present invention, the underlying concept is that the lower part of the book is placed directly on the table to make the table share the role of the receiving base. When the book is set up being inclined, the upper part from the center of the book is supported from behind only. Herein adopted as means for providing such a book reading stand are a pair of transparent page keepers 3 made of a resin and stretchable horizontally on the book reading stand 1 and a foldable stand 6 provided on the rear of the book reading stand 1.
