<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve secure fixation of arch wires on a bracket with a proper elasticity regardless of a variance in the diameter thereof while accomplishing the orthodontic correction work smoothly without requiring complicated tying work. <P>SOLUTION: In the bracket, a pair of mounting bodies 4 and 5 in which slots 3 for housing the arch wires are formed on a base 2 fastened on tooth faces is arranged side by side at a required interval to make the body 1 of the bracket, a lock member 20 having a pair of pressing parts 21 and 21 hanging over both the slots of the bracket is attached to the body of the bracket so that the arch wires in the slots are pressed thereon to from above with the pressing parts 21 and 21. An anti-twisting adjusting spring 30, in which a slender elastic plate material is bent and formed in a roughly V shape, is provided and the bent part 31 thereof the fastened on the base between the mounting bodies while both length-wise right and left side parts 32 and 32 are fitted separately into the slots of the mounting bodies to support the arch wires mounted into the slots elastically from below. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
