PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens grinding device capable of cleaning the back surface of a slide type cover when the cover is slid to open a lens port opening of a machining chamber. SOLUTION: This lens grinding device comprises the machining chamber 5 for grinding a fabric lens (spectacle lens) L, a front cover 8 of the slide type for opening or closing the machining chamber 5, and a rear cover (top plate) 21 for forming a cover storing part 25 for storing the front cover 8. The lens grinding device also comprises a projecting part (top plate tilting member) 8b for tilting the rear cover 21 to the machining chamber 5 side in storing the front cover 8 in the cover storing part 25.
