PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which enables continuous long printing without generating a gap in the case where data for printing is generated by dividing an image to a plurality of parts. SOLUTION: The printing uses a printing part capable of forming ink dots onto a printing medium while moving a printing head in a horizontal scanning direction. According to the printing, control data is added, which is printing data for printing long images including a plurality of printing regions divided in a vertical scanning direction and makes these printing regions printed continuously without any gap in the vertical scanning direction. Since a predetermined vertical inverse scanning is carried out at the printing part to continue the plurality of printing regions according to the control data, continuous long printing without generating a blank is enabled in the case where data for printing is generated by dividing the image to the plurality of parts.
