FABRICATING METHOD OF CALCIUM-GALLIUM SULFIDE BASE PHOSPHOR

A method for preparing a calcium gallium sulfide-based phosphor is provided to allow the phosphor to be manufactured at a low temperature without using a toxic gas such as H2S or CS2. A method for preparing a calcium gallium sulfide-based phosphor comprises the steps of mixing 11-46 wt% of CaS, 37-79 wt% of Ga2S3, 0.3-17 wt% of an activator sulfide and 1-5 wt% of at least one halide flux selected from an ammonium halide and a metal halide to prepare a first mixture; adding 100-500 wt% of sulfur to the first mixture based on the weight of the first mixture to prepare a second mixture; and heat treating the second mixture at a temperature of 700-900 deg.C under the mixture gas atmosphere of hydrogen and nitrogen.
