摘要 A ball in ramp brake caliper type parking brake in a vehicle is provided to generate parking brake power by installing a ball case housing having balls between input and output lamps to increase axial movement of the output lamp. A ball in ramp brake caliper type parking brake in a vehicle comprises a parking operation unit, a caliper housing, a cartridge assembly(7), and a pad wear-out compensating unit. The caliper housing forms an inner liquid pressure chamber filled with brake oil creating liquid pressure and is provided with pads covering two surfaces of a disk plate installed at a wheel. The pad wear-out compensating unit is assembled to the cartridge assembly in the liquid pressure chamber of the caliper housing and presses the pads to both surfaces of the disk plate, when the cartridge assembly moves axially. The cartridge assembly includes an input lamp(9), an output lamp(17), and a ball case housing(13). The input ramp is rotated by a parking operation input unit connected with a parking cable out of the caliper housing. The output ramp, which is located on the opposite side of the input lamp, generates axial movement for moving pads toward the disk plate. The ball case housing, which is disposed between the input lamp and the output lamp which have a ball moving grooves(12,20), has balls(16) which increase axial movement of the output lamp from the center to two ends of the ball moving groove.
