PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool clamp abnormality detector of a machine tool having high detection reliability and durability in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The tool clamp abnormality detector of the machine tool pulls a tool holder 120 into a tapered hole 105 opening at the tip of a spindle 104, adheres a tapered part 121 to the tapered hole 105, and clamps the tapered part 121. The detector comprises an air passage hole 4 of which air injection port 4a opens in the inner peripheral surface of the tapered hole 105 and an air supply port 4b opens in the outer peripheral surface 104a, air passages 5 and 36 where a tip 11a connects to the air supply port 4b and supplies air for recognizing the adhesion from an air supply source 2 to the air passage hole 4, and a pressure detector 10 for detecting an air pressure of the air for recognizing the adhesion. Mounting of a tool holder 129 is recognized by detecting the air pressure by the pressure detector 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
