PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing allyl alcohol by which the allyl alcohol is synthesized from a carbonyl compound by a reaction in an aqueous solution according to a more general-purpose and simpler means. SOLUTION: The carbonyl compound is reacted with an allyltrialkyltin in the presence of either one of perchlorates of cadmium (Cd) and indium (In) in the aqueous solution. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
