PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an user-friendly flowerpot for succulent plants capable of readily growing plants and a method for culturing a succulent plant, capable of simply enjoying the succulent plant by using the flowerpot for succulent plants. SOLUTION: The flowerpot 10 for succulent plants is composed of a container made of a natural stone having 7.5-8.0% water absorption and has no water discharge hole in the bottom. The method for culturing the succulent plant comprises sowing seeds of the succulent plants in a seedling raising container 32 composed of readily cuttable material having the discharge hole in the bottom, germinating the seeds, controlling water supply and/or sunshine so that healthy rearing rate of seedlings becomes a desired value, cutting the raising container 32 to take out seedlings 21 when transplanting the seedlings, selecting the raised seedlings and transplanting the seedlings to the interior of the flowerpot 10 for succulent plants.
