The compactor comprises a main shaft (A) acting as a handle with a bracket (B) secured to it at one end, a cross-direction shaft (D) which can be moved over a limited distance and extends transverse to the main shaft through the bracket at the end of the main shaft, a movable press bracket (E, F) with a shoe (G) screwed (H) to one end of the main shaft, and a wall bracket (C) for securing the compactor to e.g. a wall or post.
