PURPOSE: A rotating head structure for magnetic recorder head drum is provided to minimize vibration generated in an initial contact of a tape with a rotating head, thereby accurately writing or reproducing video signals. CONSTITUTION: A head main body(56) is installed in a rotating drum(52) of a head drum(50). A first contact part(57) and a second contact part(58) are formed at a front end of the head main body to be exposed to an outer peripheral surface of the head drum and be contacted to a tape traveling surrounding the outer peripheral surface. At this time, the first contact part is contacted to the tape before the second contact part. The width(B) of the first contact part is narrower than the width(A) of the second contact part.
