A cooking pot, involving an inner container (20) and an outer container (21), which together form a cavity (22), which is designed to be filled with steam from a steam vent (23) for the heating of the inner container (20). The cooking pot involves, furthermore, one or more air separators (26), along with a container (1) for the induction, and/or condensing, of the steam which is conveyed out from the steam cavity area (22) via one or more air separators (26). The condensing container (1) also involves a number of inlets (5) and a number of outlets (14), where the inlet-pipe (5) in the condensing container (1) is submerged in a liquid (2), which preferably corresponds to the heat source (25). The inlet-pipe (5) can be equipped with a thermal isolator (4). The container can (1), furthermore, be equipped with a thermostat, (15) or similar device, for the interruption of the cooking utensil's energy source, at a given temperature. The invention also involves a procedure for the maintenance of a predetermined level of liquid in the cooking pot via the retention of an amount of liquid (2) in the condensing container (1), so that the amount of liquid (2) is so great, that the steam can be condensed via the liquid without any substantial heating of the liquid (2).<IMAGE>
