The appliance has a separate heating register (2), and a fresh air supply channel (8) with ventilator (14) opening into a register section. A heating air outlet section (24) is located behind the register section on the room side. A room air removal channel (18) with ventilator (20) opens into a room-sided waste air outlet (19). A heat exchanger (7) extends through both channels to transfer heat from room air removal channel to fresh air supply channel. For a central heating of the room (9), the heating register is connected to a central heat source and is heated by a fluid heating medium. For de-central ventilation of the room, the fresh air supply channel and the waste removal channel are connected to the atmosphere (10) surrounding the room. |
