PURPOSE: A back support for a knapsack is provided to improve a feeling of wearing thereof by virtue of its curved contour corresponding to a curvature of the human body, and to maximize a cushion force thereof while minimizing a compression load of the knapsack by adopting an air cushion member. CONSTITUTION: The back support(100) separably coupled to a knapsack comprises a frame(110) formed with an opening(111) which serves to reduce a weight of the back support and prevent the back support from closely contacting with the human body. The frame consists of a shoulder portion(120) bent at a certain angle and a waist portion(130) projected toward the waist of a user. The waist portion is formed with an air cushion member separably coupled to the front surface of the waist portion and a belt fixing groove for selectively fastening the knapsack and the air cushion member to the back support.
