STRUCTURE FOR SEALING OIL PASSAGES OF CYLINDER BLOCK AND BED PLATE IN VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A sealing structure of an oil passages in a cylinder block and a bed plate is provided to prevent the leakage of oil outside an engine. CONSTITUTION: Recessed grooves(122) are formed around an oil passage(121) of a bed plate(120) to be faced to an oil passage(111) of a cylinder block(110). The contact portion of the bed plate is divided to an internal contact portion(123a) and an external contact portion(123b). In installing a sealant or a sealing device(130) of a gasket, the oil passages are sealed by the internal contact portion and the external contact portion. Thereby, the leaked oil is flowed not into an engine but into the recessed grooves.
