PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for cutting a secondary battery case which can cut bonded parts of both lateral ends of a pouch type secondary battery case simultaneously, can be easily set and can be checked for the short simultaneously with cutting the case. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(100) for cutting a secondary battery case comprises: a base(110); a jig supported on the base(110) and having a recessed part for mounting a secondary battery; a pair of short checking probes(150,160) protruded from the jig and contacted to a pair of leads of the secondary battery mounted on the recessed part; a pair of lower cutting blades(170,180) attached to both sides of the jig; a pair of upper cutting blades(190,200) for cutting the outside of the secondary battery case in cooperation with the lower cutting blades(170,180), which can be elevated for checking the short of the secondary battery in cooperation with the short checking probes(150,160); a pair of blade supporting members(210,250) bonded to the upper cutting blades(190,200); a clamp(290) for secondary battery positioned between the upper cutting blades(190,200); an elevating member bonded to the blade supporting members(210,250) and clamp; and a cylinder connected to the elevating member to elevate the upper cutting blades(190,200) and the clamp(290).
