PURPOSE: A portable wireless interphone is provided to select a receiving mode of a transceiving mode selection switch when a call switch handle is not pressed, and to receive a voice signal from an earphone, thereby enabling communication with many users as carrying out the portable wireless interphone. CONSTITUTION: A body(39) has a call switch handle(26) and a battery case(32), and has a speaker(25), a microphone(11), a DC power jack(35), a transceiving mode selection switch(17), a volume controller(30), an external input jack(13), and an earphone jack(23). A transmitter built in the body(39) delivers a voice signal inputted from the microphone(11) and an amplifier or the external input jack(13) through a frequency modulator, a high frequency amplifier, and a transmission antenna, when the call switch handle(26) or the transceiving mode selection switch(17) is in transmission state. If a high frequency signal received through a receiving antenna is restored to the voice signal via an amplifier, a frequency mixer, an IF filter, an IF band amplifier, and a frequency demodulator, when the call switch handle(26) or the transceiving mode selection switch(17) is in receiving state, a receiver outputs the voice signal through the earphone jack(23) or amplifies the signal in a voice signal amplifier to output the signal to the speaker(25).
