PURPOSE: An appointment method for turning off a TV for bedtime is provided to minimize a change in an external environment at bed time by gradually reducing the levels of the video and audio, thereby realizing a comfortable and agreeable bedtime state. CONSTITUTION: A user sets up an appointment time for turning off a TV for bed time. A TV records the brightness of video and the volume of audio at that point, so that the TV maintains the previous state in the case that the user turns on the TV. A time for gradually reducing audio and video is calculated by using statistic data. When it is the time for gradual reduction, the levels of the video and audio start to be gradually reduced. The video and audio are completely turned off when it is the appointment time. |
