PURPOSE: Provided are a loess-containing tobacco, which has high preference, and which reduces a harmfulness of the tobacco to human body, and a method for producing the same. CONSTITUTION: The loess-containing tobacco comprises fired powder and fired granular particles of tobacco smell-adsorbed loess; and tobacco leaf and filter, wherein the loess powder and the loess particles are contained in the tobacco leaf and filter, respectively. The content of the loess powder and the loess particles is 1-50 wt% based on total weight of the tobacco leaf and the filter. The tobacco smell is any one selected from the group consisting of chocolate, vanilla, menthol, cherry, and lemon smells, medicinal herbs extracts, or mixture thereof.
