METHOD FOR RETRIEVING AND GENERATING SYNCHRONIZING SIGNAL OF MPEG2 TRANSPORT STREAM

PURPOSE: A method for retrieving and generating a synchronizing signal of MPEG2 TS(Transport Stream) is provided to detect a packet synchronous signal of TS data by using a complete and simple digital logic. CONSTITUTION: A synchronous byte searching unit(1) searches input TS data for synchronous byte 0x47 for generating a data_dec signal. A counter generating unit A(2) finds out a position of a synchronous signal. Another counter generating unit B(3) is cleared by system reset or the data_dec signal. A flag signal generating unit(4) outputs a flag signal. A third counter generating unit C(5) is cleared by the flag signal of the flag signal generating unit and repeatedly counts according to TS clock. A synchronous signal search unit(6) receives output of the third counter generating unit and TS data for generating high pulse if the TS data is 0x47 and the output of the third counter generating unit is 187.
