The invention concerns the use of one or several surfactant substances, selected from the group of alkyl glucosides and corresponding to formula (I), wherein: R represents a linear or branched alkyl radical containing 4 to 24 carbon atoms and DP represents a mean glucosylation degree up to 2, to obtain or enhance selectivity of cosmetic or dermatological cleaning formulations.
