LAND BLOCK DATA PREPARING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly prepare the data of the land block of a farm land by reducing the load of a user on the basis of an observed picture obtained by photographing a ground from a high altitude.

SOLUTION: This method comprises an edge extraction processing step for extracting the edges of an observed picture obtained by photographing a ground from a high altitude flying object such as a satellite or an airplane, a rectangular area extraction processing step for extracting a rectangular area on a picture by searching the points of intersection of a plurality of straight lines radially extended from one point on the picture with the edges, and connecting those points of intersection, and an adjustment processing step for selecting and correcting the extracted rectangular area.
