<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flatness of the surface of a ceramic member in a ceramic/metal joint comprising the ceramic member, metallic member, and a bonding layer for bonding the ceramic member and the metallic member, and to maintain hermeticity high between the ceramic member and the metallic member even after heat cycles are applied. <P>SOLUTION: The ceramic/metal joint 11 comprises the ceramic member 2, the metallic member 7, and the bonding layer 27 for bonding the ceramic member 2 and the metallic member 7.
