PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile system capable of transmitting to the opponent facsimile system through a communication procedure different from that in compliance with a communication between computers. SOLUTION: The image communication method includes: a step of receiving the image data to be transmitted to the opponent image communication system from a computer according to the first procedure on image-data transmission and receive between the computer and the image communication system; a step of storing the transmitting image data received; and a step of transmitting the stored transmitting image data to the opponent image communication system according to a second transmitting procedure on image-data transmission and receive between both the image transmitting systems.
