PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-reciprocal circuit element capable of sufficiently attenuating unnecessary harmonics while utilizing an advantage of combination with a power amplifier with a low output impedance and to provide a communi cation apparatus. SOLUTION: A three-port lumped parameter type isolator 1 mainly comprises: a metallic case; a permanent magnet; a center electrode assembly consisting of a ferrite 20 and center electrodes 21 to 23; a trap circuit; a termination resistor R, matching capacitors C1 to C3; and a resin-made terminal case. The trap circuit is electrically connected between an output terminal 16 and an output side port P2 of the center electrode 22.
