PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element installation structure wherein heat from an optical element is surely dissipated to a base material. SOLUTION: In an optical element installation structure 10 wherein a heat generating optical element 11 is installed in a base material 13, a heat dissipation sheet 12 with viscoelasticity is held between the optical element 11 and the base material 13.
