PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid electrolytic capacitor provided with a solid electrolyte on a valve action metal substrate having a dielectric film in which failure of bonding to the anode lead part is suppressed, and a method for producing solid electrolytic capacitor with high yield. SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor is provided with a welding metal at the anode part of a solid electrolytic capacitor element when a lead frame is connected thereto by irradiating the anode part with laser light. In the method for producing a solid electrolytic capacitor, a welding metal is provided at the anode part of the solid electrolytic capacitor element, and a lead frame is connected to the anode part by irradiating the anode part with laser light before being resin molded.
