PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for switching in a hot standby system of a loosely-coupled multiprocessor comprising more than three computers, which levels out loads of each computer. SOLUTION: A first computer 100 switches a transactional application operated by the first computer 100 to a second computer 200 as an operation for the second computer 200 when the first computer 100 fails. A means 206 to notify switching of a batch application notifies the switching of the batch application to a third computer 300, if a means 205 to judge the switching of the batch applications judges that an application load of the second computer 200 becomes more than the application load of the third computer 300. A first means 302 for switching the batch applications processes a switching process in order to hand over the batch applications to a first means 301 for alternative processing.
