摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which performs adaptive processing according to feature quantity data obtained by separating image data into image areas as the processor which includes compression and expansion processing. SOLUTION: The image processor is equipped with a feature quantity extracting means which extracts a feature quantity of inputted image data, a feature quantity mixing means 5 which mixes the extracted feature quantity with the inputted image data, a compression means 6 which compresses the feature quantity mixed image data obtained by the feature quantity mixing means 5 and stores the compressed data in a data storage means 7, an expansion means 6 which reads the compressed data stored in the data storage means and expands them into feature quantity mixed image data, a feature quantity separation means 8 which separates the expanded feature quantity mixed image data into the image data and feature quantity, and an image processing means which processes the image data separated according to the separated feature quantity; while the total capacity of the memory which stores the data is reduced, feature quantity data which are essential in terms of picture quality are usable for post-stage processing.
