DATA RECORDER, IMAGE RECORDER, AND DATA RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize loss of information to be recorded, at the time of operation restoration of a secondary recording medium after a break of power supply with respect to a data recorder which records data in an external recording medium and the secondary recording medium annexed to the external recording medium.

SOLUTION: When an event of data write to an IC memory 10b occurs due to operation input on an input part 5, a memory control part 4a copies recorded data in the IC memory 10b to a backup memory 6 at each time after recording data according with the write event in the IC memory 10b through a memory R/W 23a. New data is not written in the IC memory 10b till copy processing is normally terminated. In the case that power supply is broken during write operation to the IC memory 10b, the memory control part 4a reads out data recorded in the backup memory 6 at the time of power restoration and copies the data to the IC memory 10b through the memory R/W 23a.
