<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PC card with less power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: This PC card device is provided with a connection means 3 connected to a data terminal device 2, an interface means 4 connected to the data terminal device 2 through the connection means 3, an attribute memory 5 installed on the interface means 4 to store the attribute information on the card, an extension memory 6 connected to the interface means 4, a local control means 7 connected to the interface means 4, a radio transmitting/receiving means 8 connected to the local control means 7, and an antenna means 9 connected to the radio transmitting/receiving means 8. When the communication port of the PC card device with the data terminal device 2 is closed, the PC card device detects that state, the local control means 7 switches a power supply to the radio transmitting/receiving means 8 from a continuous supply to an intermittent supply, and the PC card device itself enters into a sleep state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
