PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-LAN connection system capable of effectively testing an optical fiber transmission line. SOLUTION: This inter-LAN connection system has a first inter-LAN connection device 1 for transferring a data frame between a wide LAN and the optical fiber transmission line, and a second inter-LAN connection device for transferring a data frame between a user LAN and the optical fiber transmission line. The first inter-LAN connection device is provided with a first control part 4, a first packet generation part 6 for transmitting a first control packet and a first test packet, and a first packet detection part 7 for detecting a second control packet and a second test packet. The second inter-LAN connection device is provided with a second control part 4a, a second packet detection part 7a for detecting the first control packet and the first test packet, and a second packet generation part 6a for transmitting the second control packet and the second test packet obtained by returning the first test packet.
