PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a limited number of DMACs also to other uses in a system even if a number of stepping motors are driven in an image-forming apparatus or the like. SOLUTION: There are timers and excitation pattern tables of the same number as the number of stepping motors 10 to be controlled, one DMAC 7 that is driven when one of timer outputs is changed, and an excitation pattern change timing generation section 8. In the DMAC 7, information indicating which timer output among a plurality of timer outputs is changed is transferred to the excitation pattern change timing generation section 8. At the excitation pattern change timing generation section 8, a timing signal for indicating the excitation pattern for which motor should be changed is generated.
