PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of photographing an image in a wide dynamic range, a photographing system provided with the digital camera, and a photographing method for the digital camera. SOLUTION: This digital camera 100 includes a photographing means 110, a CPU 120 and a memory 130. The photographing means 110 photographs a photographic image (step 312), and the photographed image is stored in the memory 130 (step 313). The CPU 120 determines whether the brightness of the photographed image exceeds a prescribed value (step 314). When the brightness of the photographed image is determined not to exceed the prescribed value, the photographing means 110 photographs the photographic image (step 316), and the photographed image is stored in the memory 130 (step 317).
