PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste for forming a partitioning wall for a plasma display capable of satisfying characteristics (1) excellent in a sand-blasting property, (2) high in strength of a dry film and hardly generating partitioning wall damage by sand-blasting, (3) excellent in closely contacting property to a substrate and a dry film resist, and the like. SOLUTION: This paste for forming the partitioning wall comprising glass powder, inorganic filler powder, an organic resin and a solvent, and used for forming the partitioning wall for the plasma display contains 1-6 mass % of the organic resin, the organic resin comprises a cellulose resin and a butylal resin, and a ratio of the cellulose resin to the butylal resin is within 90:10-50:50 by mass ratio.
