PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna directive azimuth controller with a low height and high rigidity and to provide a control method thereof. SOLUTION: In the antenna directive azimuth controller provided with a directive base on which an antenna is mounted and a turning means for turning the directive base, the turning means is provided with: a first turning means for turning the directive base around a first turning axial line passing through the turning center of the directive base; and a second turning means for turning the directive base around a second turning axial line similarly passing through the turning center of the directive base and orthogonal to the first turning axial line, and is placed at the outside of an outer circumferential edge of the directive base. The control method sets also an angle indicative of turning around a directive direction angle together with two azimuth angles as inputs and gradually corrects a turning angle command value around a directive axis so as to satisfy a solution calculated by using the inputs for command values and predetermined binding conditions.
