The invention relates to a method for automatically planning experiments, comprising the following steps: a degree of similarity between two experiments is entered; an evaluation criterion for an individual experiment is entered; a quality parameter is determined based on the degree of similarity and the evaluation criterion; and a number of experiments are detected in which the quality parameter takes on an extreme value.
